Clearing permanent codes - emissions - Tacoma World
The reason is people would clear their codes just before being smog tested so they could pass even thought the car was not really fixed. The codes stay in the background for length of time.

How to adjust rear Load Sensing Proportioning and By-Pass Valve (LSP ...
How else can I test and adjust the Load sensing Proportioning and By-Pass Valve (LSP & BV)? (By adjust I mean the process without the SST, not the actual physical adjustments - I know how to do that from reading the FSM). ECGS Bushing - Is it a must? - Tacoma World
Thanks dudes! I’ve just been overly paranoid that I’m going to break something in my near brand new truck and have to pay for repairs. It’s been driving smooth and I’d say better than stock at this point. Maybe I will plan on it after I pass my 50k warranty landmark. The insight is highly appreciated!

O2 (Air/Fuel Ratio) Sensor Replacement, Bank 1 - Tacoma World
Thanks McMash. It's 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other. The correct term for the bank 1 sensor in front of the catalytic convertor is the air/fuel sensor but when you go to the parts store to pick it up or even search the part # online a lot of places are calling it an oxygen sensor. I'm going to edit the title regardless. Here's a better explanation I found: The ECM uses an oxygen sensor to ...
